Online Shopping Policies

Delivery Policy

Order deadline and delivery times
We currently send out orders on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Orders are delivered next day if the address is in the local delivery network (this covers most of metropolitan Melbourne).  Deliveries outside these areas take approx 2-4 days for capital cities, and up to 7 days for regional locations. 

Delivery destinations
All our products can be delivered to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Hobart and just about everywhere else across Australia unless specified otherwise.

Weekend deliveries
Orders placed over the weekend will be sent out on Tuesday. Call a customer service representative on 1300 759 702 to enquire, or contact us via email.

Recipient not home
If the recipient is not home when your delivery is made, the courier will leave a calling card at the door or in the letterbox with information on how to contact them to arrange a suitable delivery time.
You can request that your delivery will be left on the doorstep if you have a secure and safe area for the courier to leave your order.
Note: If you are not generally home during the day, consider having your order delivered to your work (if convenient) as there is generally always someone available to sign for deliveries at a place of business.  This will ensure your order is delivered to you as quickly as possible.

Personal Information

  • It is our usual practice to collect personal information directly from you during the actual purchase of a product on our website.
  • Sometimes we collect personal information from a third party if you have consented or would reasonably expect us to collect the information in this way, for example from publicly available sources such as websites or telephone directories.
  • We do not collect personal information about you if you are only browsing this website – this only occurs during the shopping cart process.

Uses

  • We only use your personal information for the purposes for which you give it to us and for related, internal management purposes.
  • We do not give information about you to government agencies, organisations or anyone else unless one of the following applies:

Security capabilities & policy for transmission of payment

What information do we collect and how do we use it? 
When you place an order through this website, we need to know your name, e-mail, phone number, address and credit card details if paying by credit card. This allows us to process and fulfill your order successfully. It also helps us in maintaining your account.

How does The Equipment Co protect customer information? 
When you place orders, we use a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all of the sensitive customer data we collect is protected by several layers of encryption and several layers of security to prevent unauthorised access.

Credit Card Details
All credit card payments are processed securely through the eGate Payment Gateway and ANZ. Payment by credit card is the fastest way to receive your order as there is no clearance delay. The Equipment Co does not store any credit card information on our servers.

What about Cookies? 
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information. They allow you to place your online order and to login once you are subscribed. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser to prevent that. You will need cookies enabled to use The Equipment Co website.

By using our website, you consent to the collection and use of this information by The Equipment Co. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.

Payment Gateway Info
Our credit card payment option is safe and secure. Credit Card payments are made directly through a 128 bit SSL Encryption software to ensure your personal details are kept safe. None of your payment details are stored - this ensures you will be happy with the security of your transaction.

Returned merchandise and refund policy

If you wish to return an item because you have changed your mind, The Equipment Co will offer you a product exchange, credit or refund provided that:

  1. You notify us and return the item within 7 days of receiving the goods (at your cost);
  2. The item is in ‘as new’ condition including:
    • In it's original packaging, with instruction manuals and all accessories;
    • It is unworn, unopened, unused and in its original condition;
  3. The product is an item that is in our standard stock range (items ordered in especially cannot be returned unfortunately).

If these requirements are not satisfied The Equipment Co reserves the right not to offer an exchange voucher or refund for change of mind returns. 

If incorrect or faulty items have been sent to you, you must notify us of the error within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange the goods to be returned to us at no charge to you. The correct goods will be sent out immediately with no extra postage charged to the buyer.

Please note, in the case of motorised products such as Electric Lift Chairs and Electric Scooters, The Equipment Co may elect to return the product to the manufacturer's repair agent to determine the nature of the problem. If the product is determined to be faulty, not fit for purpose or not matching a description or sample The Equipment Co will offer a repair, credit or refund.

NB: The Equipment Co reserves the right to assess the condition and age of returned goods prior to offering a repair, exchange or refund. This may result in a repair, exchange or refund being refused.

What to return:

All items returned must have all of the following:

  • All of the product and its parts
  • All the of the packaging as you received it
  • A copy of the Invoice/Receipt
  • Customer contact details

Warranty Information:

All products have their own specific manufacture warranty terms set by the manufacture. Items which are damaged by the customer are not covered under warranty. For specific warranty terms for products please contact us.
